Statement On the Reform Process in Maldives

• The EU welcomes the restraint shown by all parties in Maldives during the peaceful demonstration hold in Malé last Tuesday January 24

• The EU expresses the hope that the impending all party talks will help to bridge the differences between the parties and provide a peaceful way forward.

• The EU repeatedly requested the Maldivian authorities to implement the reform agenda without further delay and will continue to do so.
